Archery session Encore! Due to popular demand instructor and certified archery teacher John Webber ran another afternoon session August 4th. John is Director of Bow Hunting for the NS Archers Association and President of the Bowhunter's Association of Nova Scotia.

About Us

Welcome to Renfrew Camping, a family oriented campground along the winding Nine Mile River in rural Nova Scotia.

We open again for 2012 on May 18, and have  already planning a full season of activities to keep the whole family happy!

 

Congratulations to Jack and Cathy Cornish who have won our annual Free Camping Give-away and will enjoy free RV camping for the entire 2012 season!

How to find us...

GPS Advisory:  We recommend you follow our directions to our campsite rather than using your in-vehicle GPS system.  Our directions are calculated to bring you as close as possible via a 100 Series Highway before turning onto secondary paved roads.  Current GPS directions may route you onto a longer course, partly on dirt back-country roads.

 

 

Weekend Events & Activities - 2013

May 17
 Welcome to you all.  Our campers will be cleaning their lots and planting flowers, getting ready for the camping year.  Check out our seasonal rates and compare it to an overnight fee and become one of our seasonal campers. Also check out our draw each year on a Seasonal lot. There will be activities and crafts for the children throughout the week-end along with our bingo.
May 25 Games in the morning, afternoon and bingo in the evening
June 1 A game at the basketball court; any child who is old enough to sink a basket can play. Adult and children's’ bingo. Time to be announced.
June 8 Crafts. Adult and children's bingo - time to announced.
June 15 This is Father's Day week-end, come on over to the hall and make something special for your Dad.  Bingo for children and adults, times to be announced.
June 22 Easter time at Renfrew Camping.  We will be having Easter crafts and games.  Adult bingo and a family bingo, with Easter baskets to win, time to be announced.
June 29 School is out and the weather is great, so come on a camping trip. We will be doing some pretty neat crafts and activities and we will also be having some fireworks, times will be posted for all events. And of course as always our bingo. On Sunday the 30th we will also be having FREE cake and ice-cream.
July 6 This is the week-end before Christmas at Renfrew Camping, so come to the hall and learn how to make a special Christmas ornament for our tree.   At 3:00 help us put up our Christmas Tree and decorate for Christmas.  Bingo for children and adults with times to be announced.  (For our seasonal campers it’s time to pay your lot in full as the Draw is at 6 PM tonight!)
July 13 Christmas in July week-end. Come over to the hall in the morning to make a special little Christmas Gift for someone.  Santa or Santa helpers will be arriving at 6:00pm. Please keep the gift giving small.  Come out and enjoy Christmas with a Christmas music sing along and enjoy Santa or his helpers as each child is called up to receive their gift & a FREE bag of candy.  Donations of candy would be appreciated. Of course there will also be our favorite game of bingo.
July 20 Water Fun week-end-come camping and see what we have lined up. Bingo times to be announced.
July 27 Prize Auction, come out and enjoy this event at 7:00pm, donations welcome.  Bingo for children along with other activities, adult bingo time to be announced.
August 3 Come over to the hall and make a fashion dress or hat with newspaper and then in the evening we will be having Karaoke Night with a fashion show of the outfit you made from newspaper.  Of course there will also be our favorite game of bingo.
August 10 Halloween week-end.  There will be crafts in the hall for the kids at 10:00am.  Trick or Treating begins at 6:00.  Bingo to be announced.
August 17 A sweet of a week-end.  Pick up the time schedule of sweet things to make and eat at Renfrew Camping this week- end.
August 25 Half Price week-end.  Get two nights for the price of one.  We will have adult and children bingo with times to be announced.
August 31 This is our last week-end of the season. There will be a FREE pancakes breakfast at 9:00am Aug 31. There will be a candy scramble at 3:00pm for children and one for the adults following.  Also there will be fireworks on the 31st at dusk (9:00ish). On September 1st there will be back to school crafts and a special prize family bingo, time to be announced.
Don’t forget to come out and enjoy Wake Boarding or just enjoy an afternoon of watching.  Also there is plenty of wild life to enjoy while doing an evening stroll.  As well this year we have an organized Saturday morning Poker Walk around 10:00am, along with other organized senior activities throughout the week. Other crafts and events will be announced weekly. and they'll be an Archery Day, so watch for this event on our web site...
