A river runs by us...

So close to everything, yet so far from it all!

NATURE NEWS - 2010

July 1st - attention campers, the river is just right this week-end for kayaking and canoeing.

June 16 - the snapping turtles are now out and about, laying their eggs for this season, so keep your eye peeled for this example of one of Nova Scotia native species.  Give them a little space and they'll give you a unique wildlife experience!

Golfing...

Gotta golf?  Next door to the campground is Renfrew Golf, a nine hole par three course laid out over 25 acres.

The shortest holes (two and nine) are 114 yards, while you can really stretch out the irons on five and eight, which measure 246 yards and 232 yards respectively.

Owners Blair and Patricia Leighton have created a quick and enjoyable course which is forgiving of the errant shot, and easy on legs that dislike hard slogging.  A well stocked clubhouse offers rentals of clubs and pull carts.
